My March Go To Make Up Must Haves

I am constantly changing my bareMinerals make up bag!  I love trying out all of the new formulas and finishes but also love going back to my heroes of the range like the bareMinerals Original Foundation SPF15

What are your current must haves?  Do you change your make up throughout the seasons or pretty much keep the same look all year round?  I like to keep an eye on the trends I see at London Fashion Week & on Social Media however I feel it’s really important to wear what you feel comfortable in and what actually suits you.  I love to take looks from ‘the runway’ and turn them into ‘real-way’ for us everyday women.  So try getting inspiration from the trends and make them wearable to work with your everyday routine and lifestyle

Current Must Haves:

For a really pretty fresh look for every day I think my go to has to be Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream SPF30 which I am currently applying in thin layers with my fingers.  I then pop a tiny amount of Original Foundation in Fairly light over the top using the Supreme Finisher Brush if I want to dust all over, or the Shade and Diffuse Eye Brush if I just want extra cover around eyes, nose and chin.  The Original Foundation will just set my Complexion Rescue slightly and give me a little bit more coverage.  Although my natural skin colour is Vanilla in Complexion Rescue and Fairly Light in Original Foundation.  I quite often wear the ‘Natural’ Complexion Rescue and ‘Medium Beige’ Original on-air at QVC UK as it gives me a little more colour.

When I am covered in my lovely James Reed Tan I go darker again.  After my Foundation I love to use Invisible Bronze on the outside contours of my complexion to sculpt the face and add a touch of colour.  Then I pop a touch of Invisible Glow on the highs of my cheekbones to add an ethereal glow.

After Foundation and Bronze I like to prep my eyes.  At the moment I like to use Gen Nude Eyeshadow Primer over my lower eyelid, I just blend this in using my fingers.  Then I follow with a very fine line of One Fine Line Micro Liner really close to the lash line.  This will thicken the appearance of your lashes and really open up the eye.  I follow this with lashings of Lashtopia Mascara to create really thick, long, fluttery lashes.  Then I just groom and fill in my brows with Arch & Define Brow Perfecting Palette & Brush.  I like to keep eyes pretty simple for daytime.  If I’m feeling really adventurous I might pop a little Gen Nude Blush in the crease contour of my eye or a touch of Invisible Bronzer.  Pretty much whichever one I pick up first!

To finish my look I just pop a touch of Gen Nude Blush on the apples of my cheeks (smile in the mirror and pop it in the centre). I love this formula because it contains a blurring mineral complex for a brightening, soft-focus effect.  So it kind of blurs and brightens at the same time! WOW!  Then finally my new go to Lip is BarePro Lipstick in Petal. Just love this kind of nude/mauve shade.  It is just so flattering and lasts up to 8 hours.  It’s smooth and creamy and doesn’t dry the lips.  I also love to put a touch of Moxie Plumping Lipgloss in Charmer over the top.

What is your go to look at the moment? Do you have any questions or need help with your bareMinerals make up routine?

I love to hear from all of you so please chat with me and ask all your make up questions in the comments section below.

Lots of Love

      Dear Kelly

Of course. If you have Wheat you are a Light to Medium Skin tone. I would say go for the Gen Nude Rose Eyeshadow Palette – this is mainly Matte & Neutral shades. Perfect with your light skin and blue eyes. Then perhaps Strike a Rose or Pink me up for Blush. Sounds like in Wheat you could be a neutral to warm undertone therefore you could go peachy or pinky? I just prefer pinky for the cooler months. SJ xxx

Well my go to faves at the moment are Pink me Up, Pretty in Pink and Call my Blush. I am a pinky girl though. Do you prefer a Mauve, Pink or Peach? Or more of a Browny tone? SJ

I prefer pink and mauves. I recently bought peachy keen and I love it. I haven’t tried a browny tone. Lj x
